Given the 5W Woodalls rating I expected this to be a very nice campground. In my opinion it is closer to average. The office and landscaping appeared nice. The pool was a bit small for the number of sites. If all the sites were ever filled then I'd have to say that they were too close together. In many cases your awning is going to be very close to touching your neighbors RV. The streets are asphalt but they've got a lot of loose gravel and all of the camping sites are gravel. It looks like there has been a little attention to getting a fairly level site and some were much better than others. The bathrooms were fairly clean except the showers bases had a lot of black streaks and the AC drain from the roof came down right in the shower. The toilets had loose seats as well and the stall doors rarely latched. Overall it wasn't too bad of a campground but it needs more attention to maintenance. The staff was pretty friendly but not very knowledgeable about the Branson area and attractions. One thing that made us feel a little strange when leaving was that they refused to accept the $1 coins and Silver Dollar City just loves to give then as change. I can understand that if they just didn't want to deal with them but they stated that since the "In God we trust" was on the edge and not on the face of the coin they didn't believe them to be real legal tender... hmmm.... it kind of made me surprised that they accepted my credit card in payment since there isn't any reference to "In God we trust" anywhere on the card... It just left us feeling kind of weird about the place. Then next time we go to Branson I think that we'll check out the campground stats and reviews a bit more closely.
