My husband and I stayed at the Chateau when our son got married earlier this year. I must say coming from Denver to the Ozarks I didn't expect to find such a luxurious hotel. From the moment you walk in people smile and greet you. They have the most beautiful floral display (real live flowers!) right inside the main doors. The staff all look so nice and are very professional.

The atrium alone made the whole experience. The center of the building is hallowed out with a gorgeous tree, waterfalls, and greenery everywhere! They have a charming little restaurant right in the midst of all this plus a formal dining room on the same floor.

They have movies, gift shops, a sweet shop, swimming pools, and more! I could have spent the entire time just in the Chateau. Oh, and did I mention it was right on the lake? You can look at your window and see the entire lake below and the sunset? Absolutely picturesque.

Enough about the ambiance. We didn't experience any problems with our room. The presentation was very nice. From the sink to the armchairs to the bed, everything was wonderful.

Our son and his wife had their reception there too. They had a large room with gorgeous chandeliers and I was very impressed with their catering service.

I happen to be a picky person who enjoys the nice things in life. When I got off the plane in Springfield and we started heading down into the Ozarks, I didn't have too high of expectations. Needless to say, when we walked into the Chateau, I was carried away class.
