Lone Star owns and operates a chain of mid-priced, full-service, casual dining restaurants that serve mesquite grilled steaks, ribs, chicken, and fish. Our restaurants embrace a Texas-style concept featuring Texas artifacts and music. The exciting and vibrant atmosphere created by the restaurants' "Texas roadhouse" ambiance is enhanced by specially selected upbeat country western music and neon signs. The decor includes planked wooden floors, "dim lighting," flags and other Texas memorabilia, all of which enhance the casual dining experience and establish a distinct identity for our concept. Lone Star is further distinguished by its high quality, USDA choice-graded steaks which are hand-cut fresh daily at each restaurant and mesquite grilled to order. Meals are served in generous "Texas-sized" portions and full liquor and bar service is available.

Our waiter was the best!! He was very good with our kids, who are extremely active. He accommodated all of our requests, and did so with an exceptional focus on customer service. As usual, the food was great, although it would be nice if Lone Star would use less iceberg and more romaine or leaf lettuce in their salads.

We were talked into going here with a couple we were with. My baked potato was so cold the butter and sour cream did not even melt. Service was very slow and the place was only about 1/3 full of customers. Way too expensive for cold slow food.

1.0 Stars    Birthday girls choice, bad experience

Our friend celebrated her birthday while we were in Branson so this was her choice of place to eat. It was a nightmare in the daytime! They had eaten there several times before and said it was always great. NOT THIS TIME!!!!!!!

The steaks were not cooked to our specifications and when the birthday girl sent hers back the waitress returned with shoe leather. It was horrible. It looked like it had been cooked to death. It was carmelized it was so over done.

Needless to say she refused to pay and the manager was not very happy, but neither were we. It was not a good experience. The waitress was ok, and we got right in after they finally opened the door about 10 minutes after opening time.

Final thougth - not again, NEVER.

We visit Branson often and always go to LoneStar once while there. Both of my kids love it as well. We've always had good service, great food and not too long of a wait. They also have Corny the Clown that makes balloon creations for the kids and they love that as well.

We travel to the Branson, Missouri area several times a year. The Lonestar Steakhouse has become one of our favorite places to eat. The food is very good and the service is also very good. However, it is a bit pricey especially if you go as a family with children. I have never had a problem with waiting or seating as we usually eat in the late afternoon or early evening before the bulk of the dinnertime crowds come. I would recommend the place as a nice up-scale place to eat at - especially for a special occasion.
