Smoke on the Mountain is to funny to pass up. We look for a lot of variety in the types of shows that we book for our Branson trips. I debated on this one some and tried to figure out what it was actually about. Good luck trying to figure it out before you have seen it. It is not like anything else in Branson. The venue is similar to a local community theater production. The play is a comedy musical staged in an old fashioned church service.
You do not have to be a church goer to enjoy this show but you will probably identify with more of the comedy if you are. My wife is a rather reserved person but she laughed so hard she was crying. If you have ever set in a church service, bored to death, as you listened to people trying to spiritualize every event in their life, you are gonna laugh yourself silly. One tip I would give you is about the seating. The theater is stepped or tiered seating almost in a bowl shape. The best seats are in the center area of center section in rows 2, 3, & 4. You do not want the front row or what would be the far left or far right side of the theater facing the stage. You will see why when you get there. The rest of the seating was good to fair. You can also find discount coupons in some of those local coupon books. Like I said, Can't explain it, You just gotta go see it for yourself, You Won't Regret It! |
